Israel Marañón de Pablo

Israel is a Spanish-born and Brooklyn-based painter. He considers himself an eclectic artist who enjoys painting with different materials (mainly oil, acrylics, ink, cardboard, paper, plaster and resin). He has participated in different workshops at the New York University and the New York School of Visual Arts and has so far exhibited in New York and Copenhagen. Israel is inspired by the beauty in Nature and by the biggest sculpture on Earth: New York City. Lately he is been working on the series of paintings titled “Surfaces From Planets Not Yet Found”, a collections of mixed-media artwork that simulates imaginary planet surfaces.
